Local Events
Pat McDonnell Earthmoving played a significant role in the success of the Whitsundays Festival of Motorsport and was the platinum and naming rights sponsor for the Don River Dash in 2021. We continue our unwavering commitment to the Don River Dash through major sponsorship, ensuring that the event and track preparations receive the support they deserve.
Local Employment & Subcontractors
Pat McDonnell Earthmoving is proud to support the Bowen Community Garden by donating materials to help grow this fantastic local initiative. The garden brings people together, fostering social connections while promoting food sustainability and a greener future for our community.
Bowen Football Association
Pat McDonnell Earthmoving is proud to support the Bowen Football Association over the next three years. We believe in the importance of grassroots sports and providing kids in our community with opportunities to stay active, develop skills, and enjoy the game.
The Bowen Community Centre is delighted to announce the successful completion of this year's Adopt a Family program, which brought joy and relief to 25 deserving families. These families have shown remarkable dedication and resilience in overcoming challenging times. Annually, Pat McDonnell earthmoving adopts a family through the Bowen Community centre. In 2024 we adopted 2 families.
2024 Mayors Ball
At Pat McDonnell Earthmoving, we are so proud to support the Whitsunday Regional Council and the Mayors Charity Ball. Mayor Ry Collins has chosen not one, but two incredible local charities: RACQ CQ Rescue and the Whitsunday Suicide Prevention Network.
St Marys Catholic School - RoboSumo
Pat McDonnell Earthmoving was proud to support St Mary’s Catholic School in their endeavour to compete in the Robo Sumo competition. We believe in investing in our community and supporting youth academics to help build bright futures for our local kids. A special thank you to our office staff member Wanita Sparr and her son Ben, who worked hard to raise $1,700 to fund the Robo Sumo bus and competition.
Pat McDonnell Earthmoving is a longstanding and proud supporter of Bowen Speedway, a venue with a rich tradition in Bowen and a history of fierce local competition. We are especially proud of Dale McDonnell, who competes in Outlaw Karts and is the 2024 State Champion. Supporting grassroots motorsports helps keep the spirit of racing alive in our community.
Bowen Turf club
Pat McDonnell Earthmoving is proud to support the Bowen Turf Club, a fantastic community event that brings people together to celebrate local racing and social connections. Supporting events like these helps strengthen our community and keep local traditions alive.
Supporting Charities & Community Groups
Giving back to the community is at the heart of our values. Pat McDonnell Earthmoving has long been actively involved in supporting local charities and community groups within the Whitsunday Region. In 2019, we proudly sponsored a car for the
PCYC Bowen Breaking the Cycle initiative, which assists young people in obtaining driver's licenses. Our contribution to this cause included donating a car, recognising the importance of empowering the youth in our community.
